About

On July 10, 2024, the Oregon City School Board voted to put a bond on the November ballot. The bond aims to make much-needed, significant improvements to the district's elementary schools following a comprehensive review of an independent facilities assessment and extensive input from the community, which included the involvement of a Community Bond Planning Committee comprising parents, students, staff members, district administrators, and board members, who provided input and feedback to the bond steering committee in creating the bond package.

The average age of the district's six elementary schools is 62 years, with the two oldest schools being 76 years old. These schools have not been updated since their original construction, and fundamental systems such as plumbing, heating, and air conditioning are failing.
